Questions people ask
Which countries have no income tax?
14 countries on our list have no personal income tax in 2026, including the UAE, Monaco, the Bahamas, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait-style Gulf states.
Can I move to a country with no income tax and pay nothing?
You can pay no income tax if you become tax resident there and stop being tax resident at home. That usually means a residence permit, a home, and spending most of the year there. US citizens still owe US tax, though the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion covers most salary.
What is the easiest no-income-tax country to move to?
The UAE is the most practical for founders: a free-zone company comes with a residence visa, setup takes days, and banking works. Panama and Paraguay are not zero-tax but are territorial, so foreign income is untaxed and residency is cheap.
Do countries with no income tax have other taxes?
Yes. They usually fund themselves with VAT, import duties, property fees or corporate tax. The UAE charges 5% VAT and 9% corporate tax above AED 375,000 of profit; the Bahamas relies on VAT and stamp duty.
